Leaders of Tomorrow
This term (4) in inquiry we in Room 13 are learning how to create some criteria to identity good leaders to lead our students (eg head boy and head girl). To start this process off we have decided to first profile a leader at Sylvia Park school, that is our principal Whaea Barb. After this study we would choose some good candidates to become our class leaders in Rm 13 and have a campaign in which students get to vote for a leader.
Students are working extremely hard to jump to the next level/stage in their learning in Reading , Writing and Maths. They have set goals to help them acheive and make good gains in their learning for term 4. In week 3 and 4 students will involved in a series of asttle reading and writing assessments as well as maths gloss assessments.
Moreover the group of students who have been in our Literature Intervention Pilot Programme(LIPP) this year have made awesome progress in their reading levels because of intensive groupwork and vocabulary word skills. Great progress achieved within a short timeframe.
Thank you for all your support in the home to make learning a success at school. Ask your kids what they have learnt today at school and have them share their learning with you.
