A reminder that hats are compulsory in Term 1 & 4. School hats only unless you are in Year 8. If students do not have a hat they will need to spend lunchtime and morning tea times in the shaded areas.
The Hub
The first stage of The Hub is open! The Hub is a place for all of us - students, teachers and whānau - to learn together and we invite you to come and check it out. Students are now able to borrow books, take them home, enjoy them with their whānau and then bring them back to borrow some more. Please come in and spend some time with your kids to read, to relax and to learn together. We are open between 8.30am and 3.30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and you will find us in Room 19.
HIPPY at Sylvia Park School
We have just completed our fourth year of HIPPY and are thrilled to see the children who have now enrolled at school. These children are significantly well prepared for school. We encourage our parents to keep the programme up at home!
Parents who want their preschool children enrolled in HIPPY can contact the school or Ana Manu on 021 163 773 or email hippy@sylviapark.school.nz
A Travelwise reminder to parents
We continue to encourage all parents to park up by the alleyway between Bean and Keate Place. This will help reduce traffic on Longford Street and help make it safe for our students. Check out our Travelwise page for more info.
Blog time!
Here at SPS we have some wonderful blogs written by our teachers. They have great photos and a heap of info on what is happening at SPS.
